We are excited to announce the launch of IADMS Special Interest Groups (SIGs), designed to connect individuals with shared interests in dance medicine and science. Our SIGs align with IADMS's vision of building a global community that offers accessible, evidence-based resources to improve the health of dancers and leverage dance to enhance overall well-being. We are now inviting our members to submit an expression of interest for developing and chairing an IADMS SIG.

Submissions Deadline: July 22, 2024

Key Benefits of an IADMS SIG:

• Engage and Network: Join a forum where you can connect with like-minded professionals.
• Attend Meetings: Participate in at least two meetings per year—one exclusive for members and one open to all.
• Contribute and Collaborate: Help shape the future of dance medicine through active participation and reporting.

Proposal and Approval Process:

• Submit a Proposal: Answer a few questions in our form to propose a new SIG by July 22nd, 2024
• Review and Approval: The IADMS Board of Directors will review and may suggest amendments.
• Charter Creation: Upon approval, draft a SIG Charter with support from our Governance Committee.

Ongoing Support and Review:

• Bi-Annual Review: All SIGs will be reviewed every two years to ensure alignment with our goals.
