Submissions are now open for the IADMS Dance Educator Award, which recognizes outstanding educators who meaningfully integrate dance medicine and science into their teaching practice.
Each year, this award honors a teacher who inspires students, balances artistry with evidence-based training, and prioritizes dancer health and well-being.

ABOUT THE AWARD
Managed by the IADMS Professional Development & Recognition Committee, this award honors a dance educator who demonstrate a sustained commitment to advancing the field by integrating dance science and reflective research into a learner-centric, psychologically safe environment that prioritizes student autonomy and continuous pedagogical evolution.
HOW TO NOMINATE
- Deadline: April 12, 2026 (12pm EST/4pm GMT)
- Who Can Nominate: Anyone (students, colleagues, peers); Self-nominations are not accepted.
- Form: Complete the Nomination Form
Nominations should include details on the educator’s impact, innovative practices, integration of science, and dedication to dancer well-being.
