You are Invited to Participate in IADMS Special Interest Groups
The IADMS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are here to unite individuals with a shared passion for dance medicine and science. Each SIG supports the IADMS vision of building a global, inclusive community by providing accessible, evidence-based resources to enhance dancer health and well-being. We invite you to participate in one or more of our SIGs to deepen your engagement in this vibrant community. Participation is free to all SIGs, but there will be exclusive IADMS Members-Only SIG sessions offered.
Why Participate in a SIG? Each SIG is tailored to a specific profession, cause, or interest within dance medicine and science. Participants will have opportunities to:
- Engage and Network: Connect with like-minded professionals worldwide.
- Attend Dedicated SIG Meetings: Participate in at least two virtual meetings per year, with additional opportunities for engagement via email and informal sessions.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Play an active role in shaping the future of dance medicine and share your insights with others.
Upcoming Events: IADMS SIG events will be hosted throughout the year. The first event will be held the week of February 24th for IADMS Members Only SIG participants, followed by Open Community sessions in May (open to member and non-member participants). Register your interest below to be added as a participant for one or more of the IADMS SIGs. By signing up as a participant you will be added to the respective SIG(s) mailing list and will receive more about all upcoming SIG sessions.
There’s no deadline to sign up, but you must submit the SIG Participation Form to RSVP and attend meetings for the group(s) of your choice. To ensure you receive notification of the first IADMS Members-Only SIG meeting, please register your interest by January 31st.
