CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

DECEMBER 20 - DEADLINE TO APPLY 

The International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) is currently seeking applications for its Board of Directors At-Large positions for the 2025-2027 term. This unique leadership opportunity allows members to directly influence the future of dance medicine and science. Apply here by December 20, 2024, to be part of this impactful role!

About the Role: As fiduciaries of IADMS, the Board of Directors guides the organization’s mission and vision, ensuring ethical governance, financial health, and adequate resources to support IADMS programs and services. Serving as a Board member provides leadership development, complimentary access to IADMS meetings and conferences, and the chance to actively shape the association’s strategic direction.

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking dedicated members, including student or early-career professional(s), to fill at-large director positions. Board members are expected to:

  • Maintain Active IADMS Membership: Stay connected and committed to our mission.
  • Engage in Weekly Service: Dedicate at least 4 hours per week to board responsibilities.
  • Serve as an IADMS Ambassador: Represent the association and support its outreach and programs.
  • Participate in Training and Development: Complete required leadership training, including a board boot camp and orientation.
  • Contribute to Committees and Events: Engage in committee work and special projects, and attend the IADMS Annual Conference and other activities.

How to Apply: Complete the online self-nomination form by 11:59 pm GMT (6:59 pm EST) on December 20, 2024. The IADMS Nominating Committee will review all applications and propose a slate of nominees for approval. The 2025-2027 term will officially begin at the close of the 35th Annual IADMS Conference, taking place September 25-28, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV.
